Building stronger communities together
Here's to a
2020 vision of a
better tomorrow

Bye-bye January blues, hello #YellowTuesday

Today is no ordinary Tuesday. We've marked today as Yellow Tuesday – an antidote to Blue Monday, and a day to celebrate the people that give their all to community causes. And... the first day of the 2020 Aviva Community Fund.

A new decade welcomes in a new Aviva Community Fund

We believe the charities that make the biggest impact are the ones given the opportunity to innovate without fear of risk. That’s why we’ve evolved the way the Aviva Community Fund works.

If you work with, or know of, an eligible charity with a forward-thinking idea to fund, encourage them to apply between 21 January and 11 February 2020.

Could you help your community in a crisis?

We’re working with the British Red Cross to build a network of volunteers ready to help in emergencies, like fires or floods. It's quick and easy to sign up, and there's no specialist skills required. Interested?

2019 Round-Up

Last year, our people at Aviva did some smashing stuff to reduce our impact on the environment and boost positive changes in the world. Here are some of the stats we want to celebrate:

Spent over 35,000 volunteer hours helping out local community causes

Filled 1,700 Christmas giftboxes for refugees

Cared for 300,000 bees in our office apiaries

Waved goodbye to single-use plastic across all our UK offices

Raised over £1.1m in employee fundraising

Plus much, much more...

But we can always do better, and in 2020, the sky’s the limit.
We believe a better tomorrow is within reach if we can all pull together and do a little more than the year before. We’ll keep you posted throughout the year on how our New Year’s resolutions for 2020 are coming along and opportunities for you to make a difference.

Best wishes,
Aviva Corporate Responsibility Team
