"ATTACKING RUGBY IN THE MODERN GAME" |
Following the successful Coach Education Programme run through the winter, the Hampshire Coaching Advisory Committee invite Coaches responsibile for Adult, Youth and the older Junior rugby teams to add to their store of knowledge by seeing and hearing top London Irish coaches in action on a summer afternoon BUT on the same day preparing themselves for further progression up the Coaching Ladder and for the advent of Coach Licensing by attending one of the three CPD seminars during the morning led by top RFU Coaches.

LEVEL ONE COACHING COURSES
Please note that you will need to complete the
Goodyear Rugby Ready ("Safety") practical
course before starting your Level One
course.
Please send a copy of your IRB Goodyear Rugby Ready
Certificate with your completed application form.
The level 1 course is made up of two and a half
days. Day 1 is an evening course and Days 2 and
3 are both full day session.
You must attend all three sessions of the same course. |

LEVEL TWO COACHING COURSES
Please note to be successful in gaining a place on
the Level 2, you will need to hold a Level 1
Certificate in Coaching Rugby Union and demonstrated
that you have attended coach development courses (CPD)
in line with your Level 1 Action Plan.
Coaching Development courses (CPD) are run throughout
the region in line with the needs identified by Club
Coaching Coordinators and CB Coaching Development
Committees. Applicants should also have
significant experience (playing or coaching) of the
15-a-side game.
Applications are "screened" to ensure
that the coach has the appropriate knowledge and
skills to attend this level of course and that they
derive a positive learning experience from the
programme. Please ensure that all application
forms are fully completed.
The Level 2 course is made up of 4 full days all 4
days must be attended on the same course. |

RUGBY READY COURSES (cost £18 incl VAT)
Everybody involved n coaching, refereeing and
playing rugby needs a sense of safe practice.
The IRB Rugby Ready programme is intended to raise
awareness of good practice and help stakeholders
manage the inherent risks of the sport by putting
appropriate safeguards in place.
Note: You will need to complete the Rugby Ready
("Safety") practical course before starting
your Level One coaching.
All courses run from 9.30am to 12.30pm. |

RUGBY COACHING COURSE (cost £20 incl VAT)

Tag rugby is a fast-moving, non-contact invasion game
suitable for boys and girls to play together.
The key to the game is enjoyment, with running and
handling skills to the fore. The Start Coaching
Tag Rugby course lasts for approximately three hours
and is practical-based. |

COURSES (cost £15 incl VAT)
CPD plays an important part in the development of
a coach, and coaches should undertake these courses
before, after and alongside attendance at
qualification courses. The courses are designed
to support coaches with training appropriate to the
type of player they are working with. Within
rugby union there are five broad categories of player:
adult performance, adult participation, talent
development, youth and children. Your Club
Coaching co-ordinator should be able to recommend a
suitable course.
