Stanbridge Earls School in partnership with RFU
Wednesday, 30 May 2012 22:33
ImageWednesday 23rd May 2012 saw Stanbridge Earls School receive official accreditation as an RFU Coach Education Venue. Gavin Williams (RFU Coach and Player Development Officer) presented Grant Taylor (Director of Sport) and Owain Davies (Director of Rugby) with the plaque to signify the start of this exciting new partnership.

Stanbridge will host a range of coaching courses throughout the year which will continue to develop the community links already in place.  As a club partner of Romsey Wasps RFC and already a host venue for the Entry Level Referee Award (ELRA) this is the next step for Stanbridge to fully immerse itself in developing all areas of the game.

A small co-educational independent school that specialises in helping pupils with dyslexia, dyscalculia and other associated specific learning difficulties we have found that Rugby Union and the values promoted by the RFU have been an invaluable source of help and inspiration to our pupils. With all of our sport supporting the specialist academic help that our pupils receive rugby union and all of the roles whether player, coach or official has and will continue to have major impact in school.
