Petersfield's Will Spencer on his way to SA
Wednesday, 07 July 2010
ImagePetersfield's Will Spencer has been selected for England Under 18s tour to South Africa starting on 12 July, where England will play three matches against a Namibia Invitation XV on 16 July, France U18 on 20 July and South Africa U18 on 23rd July.  Hampshire RFU and Petersfield RFC wish him all the very best.
The 6ft 6in Spencer who plays at lock, joined Petersfield at the age of 10, and has already been capped twice at Under 18 level this season.  Although he hasn't been able to play much for Petersfield in the past two years due to his other commitments, when asked who he plays for, he unhesitatingly says "Petersfield" and turns out at the club when he can, most recently in Petersfield' end of season Pub 7's, where his team representating Foggies Wine Bar reached the semi-final.

Next season he will be studying at Bath University and training at Premiership side Bath's Academy under Lions legend, Sir Iain McGeechan.

Petersfield RFC and Hampshire RFU wishes Will the best of luck for the tour and his future rugby career.
