 The Hampshire County Under 15s trials took place at Stanbridge Earls School in Romsey on a very cold Sunday morning, the 31 January. The assessors were extremely thorough and the following boys have been selected to join the training squad.
A hard frost overnight left many disappointed as we were forced in the morning to implement uncontested scrums and reduce contact but the safety of the players had to be paramount - there was no alternative. Our priority was to see every player and select those that would go forward to the afternoon to play games with last year’s squad. By the afternoon the ground was suitable for contact and full games were played The assessors were thorough and made sure every boy was observed during warm up and game time and the following players were put forward to join the training squad.
This squad will train together and the teams to play matches selected from them. There is fluidity between all areas of the squad and players will be continually assessed at training and during games. |
